Casa Laura is a purpose built apartment with pool, in a small-gated residence in the heart of Lenno. Lenno lies on the sunny west shore of Lake Como in the Tremezzina region where the three legs of the lake meet. Lenno has much to offer including great restaurants, shops, and culture, but is also well placed for exploring Lake Como as you are just a short drive or ferry ride from the towns of Varenna, Bellagio, Tremezzo and Menaggio. There is much nearby too, including parks, tennis courts, and of course, the shores of Lake Como.
On arriving at the residence, the electric gates reveal a modern and very well maintained complex made up of 4 small apartment buildings, all of which are purpose built and configured as apartments. A short way inside there is a designated parking space for Casa Laura. Through a secure gate and up some stone steps you reach the apartment. Surrounding the apartment is a balcony with high railings and a lockable gate, ensuring privacy and making it secure and safe for children. Also, no other apartments are accessed using the balconies so Casa Laura is secluded from other apartments and not over looked. From the side balconies you have mountain views, from the front, there is a partial lake view.
Through the main door you enter the living space. The living space features a well-equipped kitchen area, with dishwasher, fridge freezer, cooker, and 4-ring gas hob. The cabinets are in rose wood and compliment the Italian ceramic tiles throughout. There is also a table and chairs for 4, a rose wood unit with SAT TV, and DVD and storage, and a sofa bed that can fold out to accommodate two children or one adult. From the living space there are French doors leading out a good sized lake facing balcony with table and chairs. It has a partial lake view to the left, across the swimming pool.
From the living room there is a small hallway leading two a double bedroom with patio doors onto a side balcony with mountain views. The side balcony is perfect if you wish to sit outside but away from direct sunlight on those hot summer days. You can easily move the table and chairs to this balcony if you wish. The bedroom has a double bed and ample wardrobe space.
Again from the hallway, is a well-equipped bathroom with WC, bidet, vanity unit, and shower. It is new and modern, with ceramics on the floors and walls, making it feel clean and fresh. There is also a washing machine.
Outside, just 25 metres from the apartment is a shared pool of approx 10m x 5m. It has a nice terrace too, ideal for relaxing on between dips in the pool.

In the nearby village of Cadenabbia, about 3 km away, on the lakefront is a private swimming pool and lido with bar that can be used by Bella Como guests for 3 euro per day. Under 12 years go free. In Tremezzo, about 1.5km away, there is also a gorgeous lake side public park with fountains and a bar/cafe. Pictures are above
Out and about:
Lenno has it all. A short walk around the corner and you have Emilios, tennis, restaurant, and bar, and a little further a great Italian supermarket with a deli, butchers, and bakers. There is a cafι 5 minutes away that not only serves great coffee but also is probably the best cake makers on the lake. Every Sunday the locals arrive at the cafι for coffee and to buy a treat for after dinner. Lenno also has a great affumicato, a fish smoking shop that is open to the public.
Restaurants in Lenno are excellent too. Ristorante Plinio for example, by the lake, is hearty italian home cooking at its best, served under a canopy on the lake. Also nearby is the trendy Lido Di lenno, a beach bar resort by day and trendy nightspot after dark. Lenno also has Villa Balbianello (of bond fame) and a gorgeous bay with a promenade that hosts a fantastic market every Tuesday. The market is renowned for fresh local produce, cheeses and spit roast chicken to take home.
Boat hire is also available from the prom should you wish to explore the lake from your own boat.
Lenno has a ferry point that is just 10 minutes walk from Casa Laura.
