Casa Amore is situated in the lovely village of Mezzegra in the heart of the tremezzina near to Tremezzo and Menaggio, and just across the water from bellagio. At the end of a gorgeous cobbled lane with stone arches and just a few metres from the historic villa where Benito Mussolini and his mistress spent the night before their capture and subsequent execution. Casa Amore is a haven of traditional Lombardy style with a chic and modern twist. The interiors are exquisitly designed with a blend of antiquity and modernity.

Casa Amore is a unique apartment in an old Borgo house in the heart of Mezzegra. After parking your car, you will walk along 70 metres of cobbled pathways to the entrance of the house. Up a stone staircase you enter the apartment into a hallway. The hallway leads to the bedrooms, spacious bathroom, and the living areas.
From the hallway you enter the spacious and very stylish living area, lake facing, which is designed with open plan living in mind. It is white washed with dark wooden floors. The space is set out in 3 zones with a kitchen (modern and well equipped – the owners are restaurateurs!) Generous dining area with a lake facing window and large dining table ideal for dinner parties and entertaining, and the luxurious lounge area with two leather reading chairs, a large mirror, and a extra big sofa that you can lose your self in. It also has double doors that frame a stunning uninterrupted view across the lake. The doors lead to a snug balcony with a small table and two chairs for when you want to savour the view over a glass or two.
Again from the hallway you enter a large bathroom tiled and decorated Italian style with bath and shower, bidet WC and vanity unit. There is also a discreetly placed washing machine too. From the window you can see down into the cobbled path below.
Across the hall again you will enter the master bedroom. Not only does it have that stunning lake view, it is bedroom for true romantics. It has painted white floorboards, a distressed antique baroque wardrobe, sumptuous curtains and a large bed. This room has an amazing ambience.
From the hallway you enter the second double bedroom, which has a view into the cobbled lane. It has warm carpets, a generous double bed and a cosy yet spacious feel. Just outside the door there is a large wardrobe.
From the second double bedroom you enter another bedroom with good-sized bunk beds of an excellent quality suitable for children and teenagers. The floors are carpeted, and there is ample storage space and wardrobes.
Casa Amore also has WI-FI Internet access, DVD, and MP3/Ipod dock.
Due to its village location, casa amore does not have allocated parking, but there are many parking spaces within 100 metres of the property that are safe and convenient.
There is a children’s park and football pitch a short walk (300 metres) from the apartment.

In the nearby village of Cadenabbia, on the lakefront is a private swimming pool and lido with bar that can be used by Bella Como guests for 3 euro per day. Under 12 years go free. In Tremezzo there is also a gorgeous lake side public park with fountains and a bar/cafe. Pictures are above
Out and about.
Walking is both easy and enjoyable around this part of the lake. A 5 minute walk into the village will reward you with fresh bread from the bakers, a choice of two general stores, and a green grocers who sells local produce that has just been picked or pulled. 2 minutes further on and you are by the lake. The piazza also has a the villages focal point, wonderful family run café that is open most days from dawn til late – it’s an authentic Italian café where locals meet on the way tio work for a brioche and espresso, or after work for a relaxing glass of Prosecco. There are also a good selection of restaurants within walking distance including “Risorgimento” which has to be one of the finest eateries on the lake. Mezzegra is in the centre of the recently opened “greenways”, these give you clear routes (denoted by beautiful green granite slabs and steel markers) for some of the best walks around the lake. Mezzegra has regular bus services from the village piazza and within walking distance you can catch the ferry from either Tremezzo or Lenno.
