Casa Eleganza. An elegant and stylish detached villa comprising a 2 bedroom apartment with panoramic views, in the heart of Tremezzo on the eastern shore of Lake Como.
Casa Eleganza is situated in an upmarket area of the gorgeous village of Tremezzo, Lake Como.
Originally a large Villa, the property has recently undergone substantial refurbishment to create a luxurious ground floor apartment with garden. The Villa is now two large apartments, and is the private residence of a local hotelier who will be your host during your stay.
From the lane approaching the Villa it is easy to see why Casa Eleganza is set to be a very popular option for guests looking for location, elegance, and tranquillity. The Villa nestles into the hillside and is surrounded by other Lake Como villas and faces the lake.
Through the electric gates you can drive into garden terrace area and park your car in a private space. You will be immediately struck by the beauty of the area and the lovely lake view that will be yours to admire from your garden, which is equipped with table and chairs, and sun loungers.
Entry to the apartment is via one of three spectacular sliding glass doors that face the garden and the lake.
On entering the apartment into the combined living/dining/kitchen space the quality and elegance of the interior is immediately apparent. The owners, who are local hoteliers, have invested in a quality build and beautiful furnishings, all designed to make the apartment elegant yet comfortable with 2 sumptuous sofas for example.
The floors are covered with Italian ceramics and the walls painted in crisp white to give the apartment a light and airy feel. The day furnishings are a blend of quality reproduction and antique pieces and are tastefully accessorised.
In the kitchen and dining area there is a good sized dining table and chairs, and a shaker style kitchen that is fully equipped and should satisfy even the most determined of cooks!
From the living space there is an adjacent snug that leads to the bedrooms and the bathroom.
To the left is the double bedroom with polished wood floors and white walls. It has generous wardrobes and storage spaces, a large double bed, panoramic sliding doors to the garden, and an en-suite bathroom luxuriously appointed with Italian ceramics featuring a large shower, WC, and vanity unit.
From the snug and to the right is a bathroom beautifully appointed and with a bath and over bath shower with retractable cubicle. Immediately next to the bathroom is a large double bedroom with wooden floors, two single beds and generous wardrobes and a large sliding glass door onto the garden.
In casa Eleganza there is a fold up double bed that can used in the living space or the twin bedroom.

In the nearby village of Cadenabbia, on the lakefront is a private swimming pool and lido with bar that can be used by Bella Como guests for 3 euro per day. Under 12 years go free. In Tremezzo there is also a gorgeous lake side public park with fountains and a bar/cafe. Pictures are above
Out and about without a car
Walking is both easy and enjoyable around this part of the lake. Approximately a 15-minute walk into either Tremezzo or Mezzegra will reward you with fresh bread from the bakers, a choice of general stores, and green grocers who sell local produce that has just been picked or pulled. You are just 5 minutes further on and you are by the lake, and the local ferry port from which you can travel across the lake to Bellagio for example.
The piazzas and streets have wonderful family run cafés and restaurants that are open most days from dawn till late, locals Meet on the way to work for a brioche and espresso, or after work for a relaxing glass of Prosecco. There is also a good selection of restaurants within walking distance including “Al Veluu” & “Risorgimento” which must be two of the finest eateries on the lake. “Helvetia”, “red & White”, and “El Timon” on also a short walk away for those lake side evening meals or a cocktail.
Tremezzo and Mezzegra are in the centre of the recently opened “greenways”; these give you clear routes (denoted by beautiful green granite slabs and steel markers) for some of the best walks around the lake. You also close to Villa Balbianello (bond fame) and the stunning gardens of Villa Carlotta.

A deposit of 25% is payable once we have confirmed your booking. This can be paid by Visa, Mastercard or Bank transfer. The balance is then payable one month before arrival, by Visa, Mastercard or Bank transfer. A modest charge is made by the owner for heating, it is metered and paid on departure. An average apartment will cost around 45 euro per week for heating in winter. A cash deposit to cover breakages will be collected/returned by the owner on arrival/departure. The amount will be confirmed in your arrival pack.
