Location, Location, Location. Mezzegra is near the centre of the lake and is a an excellent base for your holiday at Lake Como.

Originally the mayors residence until a recently, Villa Tremezzina was recently refurbished and divided into 5 luxury apartments built to the very highest standards. The contemporary Italian décor exudes style and provides both an airy cool ambience in the summer but also a cosy feel in the winter.

You enter the apartment via the lake facing illuminated and covered balcony which lends itself to comfortable alfresco dining – indeed the expandable dining table can seat up to 6 people either inside or out. The comfortable open plan living area includes both a dining and kitchen area to make the very most of the space. The kitchen area contains a dish washer and has a beautifully finished work area with tiled floor, wooden work surfaces, and designer fittings.

The Lounge area is tastefully furnished with two high quality sofas (one folds out into a double bed) a thick rug and has the convenience of a wall mounted flat screen TV, DVD player (with DVD collection) and a CD player, and Bose IPod Dock.

Through into the lobby there is a large storage cupboard. The Bathroom is clean and crisp with white ceramics and chrome fittings and a shower.

The master bedroom features a contemporary solid wood bed and has matching integral wardrobes and a large dressing mirror. The second bedroom features a flexible sleeping system that has two beds that can either be used separately or put together into one. Outside there is private parking with an electric security barrier, a large well stocked garden, and a stunning pool and sun deck.

Villa Tremezzina has optional Air Conditioning in the living space and both bedrooms. It can be activated as an optional extra at 50 Euro per week.

The location of the pool is ideal for safe swimming with children as visibility is excellent from the apartment and sun deck – also there are only gentle gradients so young children will not be at risk from large drops. In the box under the terrace you will find a washing machine, sun beds for your use and a barbeque for those who want to live the life in the great outdoors. The pool is open from the beginning of May to Mid October.

Getting Around without a car: Walking is both easy and enjoyable around this part of the lake. A 5 minute walk into the village will reward you with fresh bread from the bakers, a choice of two general stores, and a green grocers who sells local produce that has just been picked or pulled. 2 minutes further on and you are by the lake. The piazza also has a the villages focal point, wonderful family run café that is open most days from dawn til late – it’s an authentic Italian café where locals meet on the way tio work for a brioche and espresso, or after work for a relaxing glass of Prosecco.

There are also a good selection of restaurants within walking distance including “Risorgimento” which has to be one of the finest eateries on the lake. Mezzegra is in the centre of the recently opened “greenways”, these give you clear routes (denoted by beautiful green granite slabs and steel markers) for some of the best walks around the lake. Mezzegra has regular bus services from the village piazza and within walking distance you can catch the ferry from either Tremezzo or Lenno.

A deposit of 25% is payable once we have confirmed your booking. This can be paid by Visa, Mastercard or Bank transfer. The balance is then payable one month before arrival, by Visa, Mastercard or Bank transfer. A modest charge is made by the owner for heating, it is metered and paid on departure. An average apartment will cost around 45 euro per week for heating in winter. A cash deposit to cover breakages will be collected/returned by the owner on arrival/departure. The amount will be confirmed in your arrival pack.
