Villa Volesio Luna. A stylish modern semi detached 4 bed Villa with private gardens, terrace and shared pool, in the pretty Volesio district of Tremezzo, in the heart of the stunning Tremezzina of Lake Como.

Villa Volesio sits in the hillside above the lake with stunning views of both the Lake and the surrounding mountains. The Volesio area of Tremezzo boasts plenty of space with just a few other properties in the immediate area. The Villa is newly built and is a pleasing fusion of modern facilities and living standards with traditional Italian artisan features with its generous use of local stone and solid wooden roof beams that on the upper floor are dramatically exposed.

On arrival you will see the sits prominently above the side road on a stone clad underground garage area where you can park your car. Here there is also a laundry area with washing machine.

The Villa can then be accessed from either the garage or via a stone path and terrace from the road. Immediately you will notice the quality of the building and the gorgeous features that make it such an interesting blend of the old and new.

Through the front door you immediately enter a large room that makes up a combined living/dining/and kitchen space. The floors are tiled in pale Italian ceramics and the walls whitewashed.

The interior is simple, clean, cool and contemporary, with a fashionable red kitchen, cools leather sofas and a TV with Satellite.

To the front of the living space is a large set of doors leading out to the stone portico that faces the private garden and of course, the lovely views of the lake and mountains. There are a table and chairs and Bar B Q, to make sure you make the most of outdoor living.

From the living room and into the hall way there is a bathroom with both shower and bath, a double bedroom with bunkbeds with garden window, that can have an additional bed making it a twin room. There is also a double bedroom with patio doors onto the side terrace.


From the hallway you then go up the stone stairs with its beautiful round picture window and wrought iron railings. At the top, you are met by dark wood polished floors and a lobby area. From there you enter the master bedroom. This is a very special room with a large private balcony with lake views, and its own bathroom with shower, exposed roof beams and spacious layout. It also has its own kitchen should you wish to have complete privacy at any time. The room is air-conditioned too.

Again from the lobby there is another bedroom with twin beds, roof window and air-conditioning. It also has a bathroom adjacent to it with shower.

Outside, you have a large private garden to the front and side, that leads around to the rear of the Villa to a large swimming pool and terrace that is shared with the Villas sister, Villa Volesio Sole, the other half the building which is privately owned as a holiday retreat. Looking at the lake from the front, Villa Volesio Luna is on the right and Sole to the left.

The pool is just gorgeous with mountain views, a large stone terrace, and plenty of space for the guests of both Villas.

Walking is both easy and enjoyable around this part of the lake. Approximately a 15-minute walk into either Tremezzo or Mezzegra will reward you with fresh bread from the bakers, a choice of general stores, and green grocers who sell local produce that has just been picked or pulled. You are just 5 minutes further on and you are by the lake, and the local ferry port from which you can travel across the lake to Bellagio for example.


The piazzas and streets have wonderful family run cafés and restaurants that are open most days from dawn till late, locals meet on the way to work for a brioche and espresso, or after work for a relaxing glass of Prosecco. There is also a good selection of restaurants within walking distance including “Al Veluu” & “Risorgimento” which must be two of the finest eateries on the lake. “Helvetia”, “red & White”, and “El Timon” on also a short walk away for those lake side evening meals or a cocktail.


Tremezzo and Mezzegra are in the centre of the recently opened “greenways”; these give you clear routes (denoted by beautiful green granite slabs and steel markers) for some of the best walks around the lake. You also close to Villa Balbianello (bond fame) and the stunning gardens of Villa Carlotta.

A deposit of 25% is payable once we have confirmed your booking. This can be paid by Visa, Mastercard or Bank transfer. The balance is then payable one month before arrival, by Visa, Mastercard or Bank transfer. A modest charge is made by the owner for heating, it is metered and paid on departure. An average apartment will cost around 45 euro per week for heating in winter. A cash deposit to cover breakages will be collected/returned by the owner on arrival/departure. The amount will be confirmed in your arrival pack.
